New model
I've been staying busy working on new designs. This is the latest. There will be a few tweaks left to do, but I'm pretty happy with it. Blade length is 3.5" handle length is 4.6". Steel is CPM-154. Titanium liners, carbon fiber scales, liners are bright cut and anodized a dark teal color. Weight is 3.7 ounces. Here are a few pics
I'll probably end up moving the standoffs a little, and increasing the size of the hole in the blade just a bit, but overall, I think the profile is pretty strong and clean. No name yet. Suggestions are welcome. So far, "Eclipse" is looking good.

Revamped Sharpy
I've been busy working on CAD and tweaking designs. This is the current version of the Sharpy. I changed it to make it easier to open and to give a tactile indication when it's open. Closed, open.......
And carried in a pocket.
The blade is just under 4". Other details: Weight is under 2 ounces, construction is titanium and carbon fiber. I'm really happy with the way these are turning out. Nice and thin and light.

Weight is 1.4 ounces, super-lightweight. Blades are ATS-34, handle scales are black G10. Price is $450 each. [caption id="attachment_107" align="alignnone" width="300"]

Arc
Still working on getting the new models dialed in. A good friend, Pat Pruitt, cut out some parts on his CNC. I got the first one put together a couple of days ago. Learning new techniques takes time, but I'm making progress.

Blade length is 3", weight is only 1.5 ounces.
There are still some minor tweaks needed, but overall, I'm pretty happy with it.
Meanwhile, back at the Ranch...
How is it that The Bunkhouse didn't have a bunk 'til now?
This poor old abode has mostly been a storage unit for a couple of decades. Now it is being used a few times a year as a hunter's retreat. (Okay, calling it a retreat is pushing it, but it's better than a mildewy tent.) We've been really lucky to have a great group of guys stay here and decided they needed a little more room; and since they will be here Sunday night hence the building of the bunkbeds.
While working we heard scurrying and squeaks coming from the roof area. After investigating, we found bats in the belfry. Not for long, however, as they now have only outside access.
We will wait for this evening to see if it works.

A Little Something Different
I got a letter in the mail from an old friend a couple of weeks ago. He wanted me to make him a new knife. He included a piece of sheep horn and a drawing:
This is what I came up with:
I added a little file work to dress it up.
This isn't really the type of knife I make anymore, but it turned out pretty nice.

Home, again, home again, jiggetty jig
Made it home alive, if somewhat overheated. The air conditioner compressor decided to die as we pulled into the parking garage in Vegas on Thursday. Luckily, the weather driving home was mostly cloudy and some thundershowers. Tomorrow I get to visit our mechanic, who hates our car, so he can work on this compressor which he just installed at the end of May. Thank goodness it's under warranty. Here's two photos Richard took as we were almost home. He missed getting any lightning shots which where quite striking (excuse the pun, but they were impressive). The Gathering V - UPDATE
On the way to Vegas we stopped at Hoover Dam to see the new bridge. Very impressive feat of engineering. [caption id="attachment_51" align="alignnone" width="187"]
