Annual Holiday Fundraiser

Each year we host an annual holiday fundraiser. We used to run it for one week, usually the first week in December, but now do it for 3 or 4 days only. We officially started in 2013. In 2021 we were granted 501(c)(3) status, as Cutting Edge Charities, which makes all donations tax-deductible.

Donations are divided between our 5 favorite local charities-- Toys for Tots of Catron County, NM; The Samaritan Center food pantry; The Catron County food pantry; The Toys for Tots of Socorro County, and the Magdalena Friends of the Library. These charities all have a web presence if you'd like to look into them.

Our community is small and the need is great in this rural, economically poor, no enterprise area in the second poorest state in the nation. There are many less fortunate families that can use some hope and cheer.

We realize the three to four days to run it may seem too long and we don't want to lose momentum but we feel it offers more people an opportunity to get in on spreading joy and excitement at this special time of year!

Our tokens of appreciation vary each year but always include a  snowflake pattern on a mini dog tag with reverse side patterning.  Our snowflake ornaments are pretty special and are fan favorites. And rounding out the swag is a knife -- model is usually a Slim Utility but it can change from year to year.

Thank you!
