Richard decided he wanted to try bearings in the Shorty model. The dimensions stayed the same except for the width and weight. In order to accommodate the bearings it had to grow by approximately .10". Thus it became chunkier. He had to put in some big lightening cuts to keep the weight down to 1.8 oz.
